Little Sprouts Garden Program

Overview: 

Fremont Conservation District believes in the value of teaching kids where their food comes from. Each year, FCD offers sponsorships on edible container gardens that will educate (and feed) youth. FCD will help plan, purchase, and plant gardens each spring. Please see the form below to apply for a sponsorship!

Eligability: 

The Little Sprouts Garden Program is open to the following:

  • Pre-schools, childcare centers, or other school classes teaching Kindergarten or below in Fremont County Colorado. 
  • Public libraries in Fremont County Colorado.

 

Considerations: 

The Fremont Conservation District will help plan, purchase, and plant your container garden. 

  • FCD will purchase seed and soil only. (No tools, accesories, or adornments).
  • Must have a pre-arranged garden space. **New applicants to the program can apply for funding for gardens boxes/spaces. Garden space applications are reviewed by the Fremont Conservation District Board of Supervisors for approval.
  • All returning applicants who already have a garden space must fill out an application each year.
  • Once we recieve your application, our office will reach out and set up a time to meet!
